Agreement and Terms
General Terms
- Hours of rental operation are 9:00 am - 6:00 pm daily, shop closes at 6 pm. Rental delivery and pick up times are taken on first booked basis. Delivery to Veseau Beach on Moose Lake is free of charge.
- Non Refundable Deposit may be required on bookings if there are additional rental requests for the day of your booking. 25% of the total rental will be required over the phone to secure your spot.
- Refunds for deposits and/or payments will not be issued due to weather.
- Alcohol and Drugs are not permitted on ANY watercraft or consumed before operation.
- All operators of any equipment must present a physical Pleasurecraft Operators Card. If you don't have one, a Rental Boat Safety Checklist will be completed, which acts as a temporary licence for the rental duration. (Allow for additional time to complete)
- All operators and passengers are required to sign all Liability Waivers. Children must have guardian sign permission.
- All operators must be present for orientation on how to operate, and control the vessel safely
- We maintain the right to refuse rental to any persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- All rentals are USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. L&D Rentals cannot be held liable for any injury or loss. Safety is of utmost importance, and we do our best to provide a thorough orientation on operation and safety. All required safety equipment including life jackets come with each rental. We encourage you to ask any questions prior to departure.
- Renter and operators are responsible for the safety of passengers and bystanders. Reckless operation and "rule" breaking may be punishable by law and result in the RCMP seizing the watercraft.
Deposit and Damage Terms
- Renters must leave a credit card deposit of $2000 for Seadoos and Ski Boats. $1000 deposit for small fishing boats
- Any damage incurred to equipment is to be repaired at the renters expense; this includes amounts in excess of the damage deposit. In event of collision we shall not be held liable for damages for other persons equipment, bodily harm etc.
- Any down time caused by damages, undue care, reckless operation, loss etc. will be charged at the daily rental rate until returned to the company in usable condition.
- Each machine will be inspected with the renter before and after each rental and assessed for damages. All Seadoo equipment will be test driven after each rental to ensure jet pump function.
- Renter responsibility includes but not limited to: any excessive wear or damages induced to the machine caused by abuse, undue care, neglect, reckless operation or loss of unit/equipment.
Common Damages and Potential Costs
This is an overview of common damages that could be incurred as well as potential repair costs to give a general idea of what to watch out for!
- Damaged Jet Pumps in Seadoos (PWC) are often caused by shallow water operation and sucking objects such as weeds, rocks, sand, tube ropes etc. into the pump/impeller. Replacement value is approximately $800 minimum.
- Damaged Boat Propellers are often caused by rocks and hitting objects in the water replacement value minimum $250
- Collision with docks, other vessels, persons or shorelines have varying values. Fiberglass repairs are often very costly.
- Lost Key: Replacement Value is approximately $250 for PWC, $25 for boats
- Roll overs: Seadoos are NOT designed to go upside down. The machine cannot be started until it has been inspected at the dealership for damages/leaks. Min. value of $800 for service. Any boat flipped over will likely result in write off.
